

Paul Gantt is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with a broad background as a regulator and in private practice encompassing over 30 years. His experience encompasses occupational and construction safety, hazardous materials operations, emergency management, and regulatory compliance. He has an extensive knowledge of Federal OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations, multi-employer job sites, and Building and Fire Codes with application to a range of areas and operations including construction, manufacturing, refinery, chemical, high-tech, bio-tech and emergency response.
Paul’s career includes 15 years in the fire service where he held a variety of positions from firefighter to fire chief. He holds certification through the State of California Office of the State Fire Marshal, Governor's Office of Emergency Services, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), California Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the University of California to provide training programs in hazardous materials handling and response, emergency preparedness and response, occupational health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
In addition to the CSP designation, Paul has an Associate's degree in Fire Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, and certifications as a Fire Officer, Fire Prevention Officer, Public Education Officer, Radiological Officer, Fire Instructor, Emergency Medical Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician and Specialist, Paramedic, Registered Environmental Assessor, and lifetime teaching credentials in several disciplines.
Paul is the driving force behind Safety Compliance Management’s classroom, onsite and online training curriculum. He is also the author of the industry standard textbook (recently updated with new Instructor Guide)
Hazardous Materials: Regulations, Response, and Site Operations which covers all aspects of chemical handling and response. A speaker in demand at the national level, Paul is also an expert witness in several disciplines.
Paul enjoys spending time with his friends and family, which includes his wife, children, grandchildren and one spoiled English Bulldog.

Ron has been an integral part of SCM for more than a decade. Ron is responsible for SCM’s business operations. In addition to his senior management role, Ron is the lead Remote Instructor™ for
our online courses, interacting with thousands of students around the country. He has in depth knowledge and experience in a complete range of topics, including hazardous materials/wastes, emergency response, confined space entry, and other OSHA, DOT, and EPA courses. Ron oversees the management of our proven Safety and Emergency equipment inspection programs for both industrial and construction. You’ll ramp up fast with Ron’s quick paced approach to training, program development and implementation.
Ron is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), as well as holds a degree in Occupational Safety and Health, and certifications as a Fire Instructor from the California Office of the State Fire Marshal, Medical Fire Responder, First Responder Operations, Confined Space Supervisor, Title 22/RCRA Hazardous Waste Handler and DOT Hazmat/Employee.
Ron and his wife enjoy golfing and playing poker.
Rob Williamson is a solid veteran in the field and with SCM. He has over 25 years in Environmental Health and Safety, including Air Products and Chemicals, Inc, as a lead emergency response and safety specialist. Rob’s passion for people and for safety comes across clearly in his work, and clients consistently request to have him return for more safety programs.
Rob holds certifications in all phases of Occupational & Industrial Safety including OSHA 500 as an Outreach Instructor to the Construction field delivering 10 & 30 hour programs, HAZWOPER (all levels), Accident Investigation, Process Hazardous Analysis, Motor Vehicle Safety, Industrial Trucks, Hoist and Crane Safety, Emergency Responder First Aid, Fire Science Safety and Hot Work, Permit Required Confined Space Operations and Confined Space Rescue. Rob’s General, Industrial and Construction safety experience makes him the “go-to” service provider for most scopes of Instruction.
In addition to a rich background in safety training, Rob is a published poet and a die hard San Diego Charger’s fan.

Edgar joined SCM in 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences, with a concentration in Occupational Safety and Health, from California State University, Sacramento. He is certified through the State of California Fire Marshal’s office as an Instructor. In addition, Edgar has experience in related safety programs for numerous health organizations and the California Office of State Printing. His outstanding interpersonal skills and enthusiasm make him a valued member of the SCM team. Edgar is committed to making safety training and consultation relevant, fun and effective. He also manages many of SCM’s client site inspection programs.
Edgar was recently married and enjoys spending time with his wife and family.

Lisa comes to SCM with a wide range of experience in hazardous materials, laboratory, and industrial safety programs. The various programs she worked with at Lockheed Martin as well as at San Jose City College, prepared her for the fast paced work as a Remote Instructor™.
Lisa, an Associate Safety Professional, has degrees in Biology and Multimedia Communications, as well as certifications in HAZWOPER, and is a certified Asbestos Inspector. With her quick wit and sensible approach to safety, Lisa is welcomed addition to the SCM Safety Team.
When not at SCM or home playing with her Princess of Wales Parrot, Lisa enjoys fishing.

Laura holds a unique position with SCM. Having served in almost every capacity except Expert Witness and classroom trainer, she has a good perception how to get done what needs to be done. Her background in both Police and Fire Public Education as well as her certification in HAZWOPER, help her as part of both the Remote Instructor and Newsletter Team. If you have read an SCM Safety Tip, Newsletter, written program, classroom student material or proposal for service, it is likely that Laura wrote it, edited it, or had a hand in getting it done on time.
When not sitting in front of a computer, she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog, and playing the violin.

Gary is charged with construction safety, regulatory compliance, and emergency planning and response for both public and private sectors. Gary’s primary emphasis is construction safety, helping our clients meet and exceed compliance with Cal-OSHA regulations, site safety inspections, accident investigation and cause analysis.
Gary prepares site safety plans and develops written code for construction safe work practice. He also consults with clients on OSHA citation proceedings and regulations, giving them the tools necessary to pass strict OSHA inspections with flying colors.
Gary’s background as the former Fire Chief for the City of Berkeley, makes him uniquely qualified to consult and train your staff in Incident Command and Emergency Response. In addition to being an in demand speaker for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Emergency Management Institute, Gary is a certified expert witness in fire suppression and related fields. Gary holds several degrees in fire science and public administration, as well as a Lifetime Teaching Credential from the University of California State College system.
