ANSI Training Standard Requirements

SCM Training

Training Program Administration and Management. A management system should be established and maintained as well as provide program evaluation.

We develop a site-specific training matrix for our clients that specifies the OSHA training requirements, which employees need training along, and the requirements for refreshers and re-training. This document is used as the basis for the training program.

Training Development. Written statements of the desired knowledge or skill shall be provided. Multiple delivery methods appropriate to the audience shall be specified. Instructional materials shall be provided.

We have developed course information sheets for each course we instruct. These sheets include the required hours, learning objectives and behavioral outcomes expected, course outline, teaching methods and evaluation techniques.

Training Delivery. Trainers shall be competent in delivery techniques and conformance of trainers to criteria shall be documented. Audio visual aids should be in good working order and environment should facilitate learning.

We carefully select and screen trainers for each subject. We DO NOT use contractors. All trainers are full-time SCM employees, which allows us to keep control of how the training is being conducted and maintain the highest quality.

At the end of each class, we allow our students to evaluate our effectiveness. We share those evaluations with our clients so you know how your employees felt about the training.

We constantly update our training material as regulations change or as we learn how to teach the information better. At a minimum, all training material is reviewed annually.

Training Evaluation. Tools to measure trainee performance shall be used. Evaluation of trainee’s achievement shall be measured against criteria specified in the learning objective. Observation of performance shall be used when necessary to verify that trainee can demonstrate skills learned.

We use classroom exercises and group discussions, quizzes and exams, or in some cases, field exercises to evaluate a trainee's competency in the subject material.

Documentation and Record Keeping. Records shall be kept for proof of completion of required training. An individualized number should be provided for each trainee.

We document course attendance with a sign-in sheet and issuance of certificates upon successful course completion. All quizzes, exams, and skill observations are also maintained. In addition to giving the client copies of all documentation, we maintain the documentation for three years from the date of the training at our office.
